S10 Frame Swap Engine Location

Bird's Eye view of the engine compartment with a 2.8l V6 still in it's stock location.  This is a 4wd frame.

 

​NOTE: We no longer offer 4wd kits.

 

 

Very large gap between the back of the V6 and the front of the firewall.  With a V8 you will still have a 4" gap using the stock mounting location.  You will need to re-position any motor back towards the firewall.  Most aftermarket V8 S10 engine swap mounts do not locate the engine correctly for use with a 1947-55.1 body swap.
