Lied Jungle is one of the world's largest indoor rain forests. The exotic jungle encompasses 1.5 acres under a translucent, 80 foot roof, and features cascading waterfalls, tropical plants and unusual wildlife, such as pygmy hippos and vampire bats. The Kingdoms of the Seas Aquarium offers above and below -water views of penguins diving in front of a 60-.foot window, a zigzag tunnel cruised by sharks and hundreds of tropical fish, octopus and starfish darting among the coral formations. The Zoo's newest attraction is the 358-seat Lozier IMAX Theater. The 83' x 61' screen is four giraffes high and nine rhinos wide.

Lauritzen Gardens is an urban oasis of beauty and tranquility. The longest pedestrian bridge to link two states, providing safe crossing from Omaha to Council Bluffs over the Missouri River for walking and biking enthusiasts, connecting to 150 miles of trails on each side. The Cable Stay bridge is 3,000 ft long, including the landings; the walkway is 15 ft wide, and allow visitors to stand about 60 ft above the river. Lights outline the deck, cables and pylons at night, a spectacular sight! On the Nebraska side, enjoy the 3-acre Omaha Plaza with an interactive water jet fountain, Fiber Wave Sculpture, River Critters Environmental Play Area and access to the National Park Service Visitors Center.
